About us

About us

Our commitment: we are partners in creativity and as such we are behind the conception and creation of drawings and decorative designs, colour selection and development of prototypes and finished products.
We are expert consultants with passion and a story to share.

Our mission

To add beauty to the world
We create decorative designs that combine the taste and aesthetics of people from all over the world, following the influences from different cultures, traditions and mentalities.

Travelling with creativity
We strive to take our partners on an aesthetic journey into a tropical dream which will become reality through colours, drawings, books and anecdotes.

Our logo

“…it’s the most incredible bird I’ve ever seen! I think it’s utterly beautiful, the most special one there is. On one of my tropical adventures, I don’t know how he did it but this little boy was holding this toucan and he let me touch it! It was amazing! I can’t think of anything more wonderful – it was like a dream! That’s where I got the idea from to call my studio, Studio Tucano”

In his first logo Beppe Spadacini drew the toucan in a realistic, natural full-length version.
The logos are normally reworked and redesigned to adapt them to the new aesthetic canons, “to the spirit of the time“: precisely for this reason Beppe felt the need to evolve his and give it a more contemporary edge.
The toucan was then redesigned stylized, no longer the full and natural figure but showing only its large beak and eye.
A few lines inscribed in a circle: the full expression of the Master’s artistic maturity such that, with a few graphic elements, “it takes you straight to the center, leads you to feel observed by the eye, you seem to touch the big beak“.
And so, in the logo Beppe relives and transmits the emotion felt in stroking the most spectacular bird he has ever seen, the toucan.

The Spadacini brand today has evolved and transformed into Archivio Spadacini.
This logo was created by the Maestro in 2017 for Lungo Lario Srl: the toucan has not been modified precisely to underline the continuity of the history of which we are custodians as well as witnesses.
The subject was instead placed in a new frame: a double circle that symbolizes a seal, expression of a new time.

In 2012 I contributed to the creation of the Pianoforte Group born from the union of the Carpisa, Yamamay and Jaked brands, taking on the role of manager for international activities until 2018.
In 2017 I became head of the Lungo Lario company, starting the business of Suites & Atelier Lake Como and then that of Archivio Spadacini.

Nello Marelli

I live in Como, a place famous for three aspects that soon played a pivotal role in my life: fashion, elegance and printed silk.
I started my career as a textile designer and artist, while also working as a painter of frescoes, murals and paintings.
I’ve always been fascinated by the magnificence and amazement that beauty and decoration are able to generate, I soon approached the world of textile design.

At the age of 25 I decided to start out on my professional journey and I became a textile consultant, developing and creating drawings and prints and forecasting colour trends.
I was then employed by Eurojersey S.P.A. for 19 years where, as a creative director, I was responsible for creating collections, printed designs and colour trends for various product sectors.
Driven by a passion for decorative art, an appreciation for beautiful textiles and also a desire to share this ability to design “infinity”, colour and the rules of beauty, I taught at the Politecnico in Milan.
The constant search for new inspirations and challenges finally led me to become a member of several Italian and international interdisciplinary groups of colour experts, such as Color Coloris and IACC-Italia.

Viola Mostes

I live in Como, a city rich of values and traditions which have inspired me throughout my life.
In secondary school I pursued the artistic study path with a scientific basis, specializing in Architecture and Environment.
Ever since I was little, the combination of dance and art allowed me to express my emotional side through movement, colour and shape, and studying a professional discipline helped me to broaden my horizons when it came to my future and allowed me to discover what I was really interested in.

My interest for textile art drove me to pursue a degree at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Como (Accademia di Belle Arti Aldo Galli) and that is when I consolidated my passion for design.
During my time as a student, I did and internship with MatchPoint Srl, where I worked in the area of pattern design. I was also involved in the Milano Unica project for two years and this gave me a greater knowledge of art and textile archive methods.
After graduating, I started working for Archivio Spadacini and here I have had the opportunity to put into practice what I had previously learnt about archiving textiles, books and art.
Reading the books in these archives and discovering new cultures, techniques and art styles has allowed me to further develop my love for travel.
